Artist Biography:
Jerry Scott has become a superstar of the cartooning world. As co-creator of Baby Blues and Zits, he is one of four cartoonists in history to have two daily comic strips running in over a thousand newspapers each. Now exhibiting his newest original oil paintings, warm skin, cool shadows and lots of vigor and might with every stroke he paints to reveal the personality of his subjects and his skill. Artist Statement "It’s really exciting not because I’m expecting to sell a bunch of paintings, but because I’m kind of declaring myself as a painter. It takes a certain amount of courage to put myself out there in a different way than I do with cartooning, but I like a challenge."
